FAQ's
We want to be crystal clear when it comes to our warranty, and not use it as a marketing gimmick.
If you read the fine print from companies that offer a "lifetime warranty", it'll usually include some waffle about this meaning the expected useable life of the product. Which can mean absolutely anything.
We really believe any true manufacturing defect will rear it's head in the first 6 months of riding. Therefore, 3 years is a healthy amount of buffer to determine if there are any issues.
Unfortunately, we don't offer a transferable warranty, for the simple fact you cannot promise the previous owner has looked after their gear and performed adequate maintenance.
If you have run into trouble with second hand Chromag gear, please get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
- Corrosion
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from a crash (however we may be able to offer a crash replacement)
- Damaged caused by improper installation
- Damage caused by lack of maintenance
- Damage caused by transportation
- Installation of improper or incompatible components
- Shipping costs back to Chromag
- Colour changes due to environmental factors or cleaning products
Crashes are not covered under our warranty, however we still like to take care of our crew with our crash replacement program.
These situations are obviously assessed on a case-by-case basis, so please get in touch.
We love to do as many clothing repairs as possible, and keep your gear going.
Personally we see clothing repairs as a badge of honour.

- Order number or receipt if purchased from a Chromag dealer

Extent of limited warranty
Chromag Bikes warrants that its products will be free of defects in materials or workmanship for one year after they are first purchased. This warranty only applies to the original owner and is not transferable.
Chromag Bikes considers a manufacturer’s defect in materials or workmanship to be a reasonably foreseeable deficiency in the actual materials it put into its products, or the work done during the manufacturing of its product. -
Exclusions on warranty
This warranty will not apply to products that have been improperly or negligently installed, adjusted, or otherwise used. You must refer to your product’s respective manual found here to determine proper installation, adjustment and maintenance requirements for your product. If a particular installation, adjustment or maintenance requirement is not addressed in the respective manual for your product (or if after reading the manual you have no idea how to properly install, adjust or maintain your product), you must consult an expert to ensure proper requirements are followed. Chromag Bikes will determine whether its products have been improperly or negligently installed, adjusted or otherwise used.
This warranty will not apply if the product has been modified in any way, including the removal of warnings, attempts at repair, the use of unsuitable or incompatible parts, or the use of other manufacturers’ parts. This warranty will not apply to normal wear and tear. Normal wear and tear is damage that occurs over the course of the product’s lifetime as the result of recommended, normal use. This warranty will not cover any damage or loss arising out of commercial use, including rental use.
This warranty will not apply to damage to the product caused by normal use of a bike, including, but not limited to, crashing into things, riding in extreme terrain, BMX parks or urban staircases, attempting to duplicate the stunts seen in videos, missed landings, ghost rides, and aborted wheelie drops, suddenly appearing trees, or just crashing in general, abuse of the product, or any other circumstances in which the product has been subjected to forces or loads beyond its design. This warranty will not apply to products that have gone beyond their product life span. Product life span is defined as the normal usable length of time any product should last. If a product has failed to the fact that it has reached this point in less time than the 1 year warranty, this does not indicate a manufacturer’s defect.
This warranty will not apply to surface finishes such as paint, chrome, anodizing, stickers or graphic applications unless deemed qualified by Chromag Bikes.
Warranty claims must be made through a Chromag Bikes licensed dealer or distributor, or directly through Chromag Bikes. To make a warranty claim, you must provide an original proof of purchase receipt. All products to which a warranty claim is made must be returned for inspection at your own cost. -
No other warranty
Except where prescribed by law or as set forth herein, Chromag Bikes makes no other warranties, guaranties, or representations, express or implied. Chromag Bikes specifically disclaims any warranties (including implied) of reasonable care, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose, save where prescribed by law. -
Limitations of liability
Except where prescribed by law or as set forth herein, in no event will Chromag Bikes, nor its third party suppliers, licensees, affiliates, subordinates, or any other related party, be held liable for loss or damages as a result of the use or installation of its products, including (but not limited to) direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages.
