Why we made this

We love merino for its natural breathability and comfort. For the Veldt Jersey, we blended merino wool with Coolmax® fibers to add durability along with enhanced moisture-wicking and quick-drying performance. The result is a soft-on-the-skin, lightweight, breathable, jersey that’s built for long days on the bike—without compromising comfort or performance. It's ideal for rides where the temperature shifts throughout the day. Start off layered with a light jacket in the cool morning, then shed the outer layer as things warm up.

MERINO WOOL

Wool is a great natural alternative to plastic synthetic fibres. It is low in energy and water consumption and exhibits extremely high performing properties. Merino wool fibres absorb and pull moisture vapour away from your body unlike synthetics which can only wick away the moisture once it has condensed. One square inch of skin on a merino sheep produces about 4 times as many wool fibres as other breeds of sheep.

Merino wool has paradoxical properties making it ideal for use year round. In the summer it is ideal for wicking moisture away from your body. In the winter, the natural structure of the fibre inherently blocks larger drops of water while continuing to wick away vapour. When vapour is absorbed into wool it binds to the chemical structure of the fibres and small amounts of energy are released in the form of heat. This principle is known as the "heat of sorption".

Multi purpose!

I wore this as a first layer, every day of a 10-day moose hunt. Whether sitting waiting for the sun to rise in -8 or hiking mid-day with a heavy pack, I was never not comfortable. The best part - it never stunk, and still doesn’t 👌

Surprisingly Good on Hot Days

Very comfy. Feels too warm right when you start riding, but once some sweat works into the fabric every little breeze feels like an AC unit blowing at you.

Really is magic

I got this jersey in the summer, didn't wear it much at first, but as temps have dropped, I have worn this jersey for almost every single ride in October, November and December. Adding a light jacket when riding in the rain (which has been often this year), and it's perfect. For riding on days around 5 degrees C, I normally get too hot on the climb and too cold on the descent, but this jersey seems to manage both somehow.

Great product!

This merino shirt is so comfortable, it works so well in all temperatures but excels on hot days. Dries so quickly and somehow doesn’t get smelly! Highly recommend. 6’ 180lbs, could run medium but I bought the large for some breathing room.

Perfect fabric for enduro riding

Warning everyone that once you try these merino jerseys, you probably won't go back to anything else. I ride with these long sleeves from fall all the way to mid-spring. If it's cold, it provides with enough warmth, if you sweat, it dries super quick, if your sweat tends to stink with other materials...well, you don't stink! You can wear it several times wich also makes it great for multi-day adventures.
For the bikepark, I would choose another material, more resistant to potential crashes, like the Mission jersey. For anything else (I use them even for backcountry skiing and hiking), these merino jerseys are exactly what you need. I guess that's why they get sold out so quickly!
